Golf on Pender Island -- Disc Golf Too!
Believe it or not, here on our little island we've got 2 different golf courses...
The Pender Island Golf and County Club is described as one of the most beautiful public 9 hole courses in BC. With 4 elevated tee boxes, valley views and 6 different tees for the back 9, the course is a challenging recreational course for all handicaps.
The signature 8th hole has 2 elevated tees, plays 230 yards over water to a 3 tiered green. It even has a replica of the famous stone bridge at St. Andrew's! Bald eagles, vultures, osprey and deer complete the idyllic surroundings.
And then there's the Golf Island Disc Park...
Disc Golf is played much the same way as ball golf - there are tee offs, fairways, a final target and similar rules of play.
Located around a forested hill in Magic Lake Estates, the 27-hole Pender Course has become world famous for it's challenging play and unique design. It provides an afternoon of free fun for all ages -- and is a great way to get some excercise and fresh air!
