Summertime is busy on Pender -- our population grows during July and August, and many of the island's organizations offer expanded services. 
Recycling
The depot is now open on Fridays until the end of summer. Depot hours are:
Tuesday - 8am to 3pm
Friday - 9am to 3pm
Saturday - 9am to 3pm
Sunday - 1pm to 5pm

Farmers' Market
Sponsored by the PI Farmer's Institute, the market is your source for island grown/made produce, baking, cheese, crafts and more! Continues every Saturday form 9:30am to 1pm until October. The Farmer's Institute has a new website at www.pifi.ca
Musuem
The Pender Island Museum is open for July and August. Come learn more about Pender's history every Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
PIRAHA Summer Art Camp for Kids
Register your kids for one or both sessions of this highly recommended day camp at the Community Hall:
July 14 - 18
August 11 - 15
Sessions run from 10am to 2pm daily. The cost is $15 a day, or $70 for 5 days. Call Margaret at 629-3669 or 629-6681 to register.
Summer Story Time at the Library
Bring your kids to the Library meeting room on Thursday afternoons at 2pm where story tellers, musicians, puppeteers and reader's theatre presenters weave their magic for children of all ages. Until 3pm.
Library Hours
Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday - 10am to 4pm
Wednesday evenings - 6pm to 8:30pm
